Relation between India and Pakistan

Is the Pulwama attack can lead toward peace?

In the present era where countries are connected with each other, share economies and technologies to face internal and external challenges. To overcome these challenges international diplomacy is an important tool for a state. Diplomacy defines state behavior toward other states. But to understand the diplomatic relation between India and Pakistan is somehow orthodox. Both countries have a great influence on world politics. After 72 years of independence of both countries, still they are playing tug of war and the reason behind this gamesmanship is cultural, religious and social differences between both countries. The issue of Kashmir is a bone of contention between both countries. On this issue, both fight four wars with several cold wars. Both countries leadership several times tried for peace deals but they all failed. India claims itself a secular state and Pakistan claims itself Islamic state but both are far away from these claims.
In the present day, the Pulwama attack (in which almost 44 Indian Army officers were killed in the attack by a militant of JeM (Jaish-e-Muhammad) group which is based in Pakistan) is top of the headline in both countries media. India claims that Pakistan state is behind this heinous attack. And on the other hand, Pakistan FO ( foreign office) claims that all this scenario is plotted by Indian present Government to manipulate the incoming election in India and to get the sympathy of the Indian public ( which has Hindus in the majority) to win the election. Pakistan FO stated that we are ready for negotiation and in response, India states that we cannot negotiate with a state that gives aid to terror organizations.

After observing the whole scenario, we can conclude that War is not an optimal solution for both nations because it will give bilateral damage to both nations. At least we should learn from history nothing had found a solution from wars and we have examples of the Afghan war, World wars 1 and 2.  Wars provide the only destruction and bilateral damage owns both sides. So to grow in this economic world both nation leaderships should negotiate own table to get the optimum solution of conflicts. Someone said “we cannot clap with only one hand” So both countries leadership should look forward toward each other to get peace and economic stability and security. At last, I want to Quote PM Atal Bihar Vajpayee of India ‘You can change friends but not neighbors’.
